Devices with eSIM
Every plan we sell is an eSIM, so your phone needs to have eSIM and be unlocked. Here’s how to check both, and which phones and iPads their makers list.

Every model here is on its maker’s own pages, linked inside each list. A phone can have eSIM and still be missing here, so if yours isn’t listed, look for an EID.

iPhone37 models
- Bought in mainland China, only these have eSIM: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 17e, iPhone Air and iPhone Duo.
- Bought in Hong Kong or Macao, these take two physical SIM cards instead of an eSIM: iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, every iPhone 15 and 14 model, iPhone 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, every iPhone 11 model, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.

Check your phone first
Look for an EID
The EID is the number of the eSIM built into a phone or iPad. If yours shows one, it has eSIM.

Make sure it’s unlocked
A phone bought from a mobile carrier can be locked to that carrier’s network, and a locked phone can’t use an eSIM from anyone else, ours included. If you bought yours on a contract or aren’t sure, ask the carrier that sold it.

Questions about your phone
What if my phone isn’t on the list?
The list covers phones from Apple, Google, Samsung, HONOR and Huawei, and Apple’s iPads, and only the models each maker names. Other phones can have eSIM too. Look for an EID as described above: if your phone shows one, it has eSIM.
What does unlocked mean?
An unlocked phone works with a SIM or eSIM from any carrier. A locked one gets service only from the carrier that sold it, until that carrier removes the lock or the contract ends. That carrier can tell you whether yours is locked.
Does it matter where I bought my phone?
It can. Some iPhones sold in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao have no eSIM, and Samsung, HONOR and Huawei each say that eSIM can depend on the country or region. The notes with each maker’s list say which.
