Common questions

Will an eSIM work on my phone?

Many recent phones support eSIM, for example iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 4 and newer, and recent Samsung Galaxy S and Z models. The phone also has to be unlocked by the carrier that sold it. On iPhone you can check under Settings, General, About: if you see an EID number, the phone supports eSIM.

Do I lose my normal number?

No. A travel eSIM is an additional line used for data. Your existing SIM stays in the phone, so you keep receiving calls and messages on your usual number. You choose which line carries data.

When does the plan start counting?

The start rule depends on the plan: it can start when you buy it, install the eSIM, or first connect to a covered network. Check the start rule in the plan details before installing.

What happens when the data runs out?

On a fixed-data plan, the data stops when it’s used up, and nothing more is charged. Where your eSIM can take a top-up, “Add data” on its order page and in “My eSIMs” adds data to the same eSIM. Otherwise, buy a new plan. On a daily plan, each day’s data renews the next day, and until then the plan slows down or stops, as its plan details say.

Which currency are prices in?

Euros or US dollars, whichever you choose. Each currency has its own price, and that is what you pay us. We buy our plans in US dollars. Where a conversion is needed, we use the National Bank of Georgia’s official rate and add no separate conversion fee.
