Installing on Android
Check when your plan starts before installing, and use a reliable Wi-Fi connection. On the phone itself, add the eSIM with its code: open your order page on it, copy the line labelled “Full code, for Android”, and paste it in, as below. From another screen, you can scan the QR code instead. The page also offers “Try one-tap install”, which works on some Android phones only.
Adding it with the code
Open your order page on the phone you’re installing on, and copy the line labelled “Full code, for Android”.
- Open Settings, then Network & internet or Connections.
- Open SIMs or SIM manager, and choose to add an eSIM.
- Choose Enter activation code or Use a code, and paste the full code.
- Follow the steps on the screen to finish.
Menu names differ a little between phone makers. On a Samsung phone the way in is Settings, Connections, SIM manager. If your phone asks for two fields, paste the SM-DP+ address and the activation code instead.
Scanning the QR code
To install from another screen, such as a laptop, open your order page there. Follow the same steps on the phone, and at step 3 scan the QR code instead.
Keep your usual SIM as the line for mobile data until you land. Switching over takes a minute when you arrive.
