Installing on an iPhone

Check when your plan starts before installing, and use a reliable Wi-Fi connection. On an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later, the quickest way is on the iPhone itself: open your order page on it and press “Install on this phone”. That opens the iPhone’s own eSIM setup with the details filled in. If the button isn’t there, or nothing opens, scan the QR code from another screen or enter the details by hand, as below.

Scanning the QR code

Open your order page on another screen, such as a laptop, so the iPhone can scan the code from it.

  1. On the iPhone, open Settings, then Mobile Service. On some iPhones it’s called Cellular.
  2. Tap Add eSIM, then Use QR Code.
  3. Scan the QR code on your order page.
  4. Follow the steps on the screen to finish.

If you can’t scan the code

  1. In Add eSIM, tap Use QR Code, then Enter Details Manually.
  2. Copy the SM-DP+ address from your order page and paste it in.
  3. Copy the activation code and paste it into the field for it.

The iPhone asks for the address and the code separately, which is why your order page shows them on two lines.

Keep your usual SIM as the line for mobile data until you land. Switching over takes a minute when you arrive.
