Your QR code and install details
When your eSIM is ready, your order page shows a QR code. Your phone scans it and downloads the eSIM. Under it are the same details written out, for adding the eSIM by hand:
- SM-DP+ address: the address of the server your phone downloads the eSIM from.
- Activation code: the code that tells that server which eSIM is yours.
- Full code, for Android: both of those in the single line Android asks for.
A phone can’t scan a code shown on its own screen, so open the order page on a laptop or another phone and scan it from there.
Keep the code and the details to yourself. Anyone who has them can install your eSIM.
The code works once
When a phone downloads the eSIM, its code is used up. Your order page then stops showing it and says the eSIM has been downloaded.
That also means an eSIM deleted from the phone can’t be put back with the same code. If something isn’t working, write to us before you delete anything. If it’s already gone, write to us with your order number and we’ll look at it with you.
