If the QR code or install button doesn’t work
The QR code
- A phone can’t scan a code shown on its own screen. Open your order page on a laptop or another phone, and scan the code from there.
- Scan it from the phone’s settings, in the place where you add an eSIM. Your order page shows the steps for an iPhone and for Android.
- Make the code bigger on the other screen, and hold the phone steady in front of it.
- If your order page no longer shows a code, it has been used: the page says “Your eSIM has been downloaded”.
The install button
On an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later, your order page also shows “Install on this phone”. It opens the iPhone’s own eSIM setup with the details filled in, so it works only on the phone that will use the eSIM.
On Android 10 or later, the page offers “Try one-tap install” instead. It works on some Android phones only: others say that setup through a link isn’t supported. Then add the eSIM with its code, as below. If that doesn’t work either, contact us.
If nothing opens, or the setup stops partway, add the eSIM with the details under the code instead.
Adding it by hand
Your order page writes out the details the code holds. An iPhone asks for the SM-DP+ address and the activation code separately. Android asks for the “Full code, for Android” in one line. Copy each one and paste it where the phone asks for it.
